A general recommendation becomes more useful when you can inspect what it produces. Each example below includes the brief or constraints, the actual output, and an explanation of the choices. Use them as a reference when making your own decisions.
These are newly created fictional teaching examples. They are not client commissions, testimonials, the former operator's portfolio or claims of commercial results. The business and product details are invented for the exercise and are identified as such.
This directory retains the domain's historical /portfolio/ address while giving it a current educational purpose. The About page explains the earlier website and the independence of this publication.
Three different jobs
| Example | The practical question | What you can inspect |
|---|---|---|
| A local service website | How do a brief, navigation and page copy work together? | A furniture repair workshop's brief, page plan, homepage and service page |
| A clear product page | Which statements can a product description safely make? | A notebook fact sheet, description, specification table and claims trail |
| A small-business brand handover | What should a usable set of brand materials contain? | An original identity specimen, practical usage decisions and asset inventory |
How to use an example
Read the constraints first. A workshop that arranges collection needs different information from a business offering home visits. A product with no verified environmental certification cannot simply borrow a green claim from another description.
Next, compare the output with your own material. Identify the decisions that transfer: making the next step explicit, separating specifications from interpretation, or requesting a logo variant for a small label. Replace all example facts with evidence from your business before publishing.
Finally, use the matching website brief, content brief or brand asset checklist to turn the lesson into your own working document.
